This room is on the upper ground floor at the front of the house. It has its own private en suite shower room with toilet and wash hand basin. It shares kitchen, living room, utility room and garden with the others living in the house. The room has a double bed , although it is offered for single occupancy so as not to overcrowd the house. The house has just been completely renovated and has laminate flooring throughout.
There is a large double wardrobe and a coffee table, small desk and chair are provided.
The house has full gas central heating and the cost of this and the hot water is included in the room price.
The room has wiring for both TV aerial and Sky satellite so you can install these in your room if you wish, in addition to using the HD 32inch TV in the shared living room which is complete with Sky HD+ box and a HD and Movies subscription.
How long for?
We are flexible! We offer furnished rooms in the shared house for any periods from one week and upwards. Whilst most people wish to stay long term in the house we can also cater for short term visitors. We let rooms under a licence agreement so you do not have to commit yourself to minimum of 6 months as you do under an AST agreement.
How much?
The rent for this room is £100 per week paid in four weekly in advance. This includes full gas central heating and hot water, cleaning of the shared parts, water, electricity, Council Tax, television licence and Sky+ HD and Movies subscription (in shared living room). We can accept different payment terms for a small supplement.
Four weeks rent in advance and a deposit/administration fee of £300 are payable when you move in. The deposit/administration fee is treated as a returnable deposit unless you stay for less than six months, in which case we take a small administration fee depending on the length of your stay. This fee covers the additional costs of short term rentals but is in line with six monthly AST agreements.
Weekly cleaning of your room, changing and laundering of your bed linen and daily breakfast provision are all available at extra cost. We can supply bed linen and towels if you like at extra cost.
The House
The house is a large, Victorian, four storey terraced house and it has just been completely stripped and renovated with new wiring and plumbing, facilities and decoration. It has laminate flooring throughout.
There is a small, mainly paved garden out the back where you can sit round a barbeque or hang out your clothes to dry.
The large living room has a full HD 32 inch television with a Sky + box and Movie and HD channel subscription. There are comfy sofas and a chair.
The kitchen/dining room is equipped with gas cooker, microwave and large fridge freezer. There is a dining area with a table and chairs. There are a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room.
For your safety there are a new four zone fire alarm system. The rooms all have fire doors and fire protected escape routes to the latest standards.
A entry phone system allows you to communicate from each floor with visitors at the front door and unlock it remotely to let them in.
The room rent includes full gas central heating and hot water, cleaning of the shared parts, water, electricity (except utility room), Council Tax, television licence and shared Sky subscription.
Position of the House
The house is in Albert Street conveniently located 350 metres from the centre of Ramsgate and 150 metres from the West Cliff overlooking the harbour. It is only 100 metres from the nearby Waitrose store and about 1.2 kilometers from the station on the edge of the town.
