Preferred room and flatmate description

I'm a 25-year-old subtitler, still relatively new to the job but enjoying a great deal after having worked in BBC Complaints for the past two years (less fun than it sounds). I'm moving from Glasgow to London in the New Year. I'm a pretty easygoing fellow, despite the fact I'm trying to give up smoking, and I try my hardest to make life as easy for myself and those I'm around as possible.

I've got an overworked guilt complex, so I'm pretty tidy when it comes to places I share with other people, basically because I couldn't stand anyone thinking I was a slob. I work shifts, which can mean early starts and late finishes, but when I'm off I do like to get out and enjoy myself and try to see as much music,comedy,theatre, pubs and anything else that's vaguely interesting as much as I can.

Essentially I'm looking for somewhere to feel at home rather than just somewhere to lay my head, friendly flatmates I can get to know, who don't have parties every night of the week, but are willing to have a laugh, the odd night out and the odd night night in. If possible I'd like all of this an area that doesn't take me several hours to get to work (in Shepherds Bush) although I really will consider anywhere if it's right. Jeez, I'm picky.
