Canadian/Australian gentleman, retired from the health-care industry, currently in Australia, seeks a congenial flatshare to make a home-base for myself for the duration of a 6-month tourist visa for the UK(London in particular), in a hopefully gay-friendly household, a place and person/people to regard as home away from home, a place from which to come and go while discovering London a bit more. However, I do not particularly fit the gay stereotype and seek general friendship in the community at large as a rule, unless of course, a special friend should come along at my age which is not very likely I'm afraid. I can describe myself as being of a quietly congeneal nature, somewhat reserved but quite independent, and could hardly be described as one being under-foot, but I like to have nice people around me too. My living and house-keeping habits are clean and tidy and I am mindful and economical in the usage of utilities. I can cook and bake for myself and am glad to share. My interests include the performing and visual arts, reading, shopping, travel, and other gentle pursuits. At the present time I am planning my journey and stay from October 2012 onwards, hopefully in time for a white Christmas. For the time being I am making a list of possible housing situations hoping that a few of those/others might become available again later in the year, and that I'll be able to select the place relevant to my stay. Ideally I would prefer a rent which includes the utilities. I would like a place from which there is easy access to central London where my friends live. The photos on display were taken in London in March and April 2010. I have an established portable income by which to pay my way and I will be glad to present personal references. Thank you and best wishes from Oz. David PS: It must be noted that at the present time I am a "basic member" only and so am rather limited in receiving and sending messages. Closer to travel time I want to upgrade my status and will be better able to communicate with a view towards making contact with relevant accommodation offers and interests..
