It's a Victorian house with period features and large rooms very close to Woodhouse Moor. It has a decent garden with hedges so feels quite private with a space to sit out and have barbecues. There is off road parking for 2 cars.
It's a decent house with a good vibe in a convenient location 5 minutes walk from the Uni and close enough to walk into town.
I think the house is a pretty good mix of people. No-one with a really big personality. The existing tenants (Jon 31 and Richard 37) have both been in the house for a good number of years. Graduate professionals working in Leeds- quiet, easy going and able to hold a conversation. They've got diverse interests including Music, Politics, crosswords, pub quizzes, cooking, film, reading, sport (mainly watching rather than playing) etc.
Hugh, who is a post doctorate researcher at the Uni, and Shen have been in the house for a couple of years. Claire (26) moved into the house last april and is really friendly and fun. She works for British gas in customer relations.
I live in the South West but try to visit everyone every couple of months or so. I'm a 37 year old music technologist now working as a full time tree surgeon in bristol. I fill my time with chainsaws, pianos and a lazy black Labrador.
ALL BILLS are INCLUDED in the rent; Council Tax, water, electric, gas. The house has wireless broadband internet access but it's cost is not included in the rent. I do however pay for the phone line rental not including calls
Basically this would suit anyone who is looking for a decent friendly house. As everyone is a bit older and working. I'd say it probably isn't ideal for a student unless you're doing some sort of post grad study.
that's about it really. call or email me if you fancy viewing
cheers
