The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac within a picturesque village of Heybridge Basin (postcode CM9 4SF). The area is beautiful. Just a 3 minute walk across playing fields brings you to the Blackwater Estuary and a path which runs for miles from Maldon to Tollesbury, ideal for walking, jogging, cycling after work. A minute longer to get to the 2 local pubs (real beer & food) and a tea shop. These are ideal places to look out over the water and watch the boats go by. From here you can walk on the canal tow-path, which runs through beautiful countryside, all the way to Chelmsford if you are super fit!
FirstBus no.73 bus stop is within 100 yards of the house and goes to Maldon and Chelmsford. Within 2 miles there are 2 supermarkets (Tesco & Asda), chip shop, several restaurants and we are in delivery area for pizza, Indian, Chinese, kebab etc with a choice of several outlets.

I’m looking for a lodger who is sociable, calm, professional, solvent, easy going and normal, or has at least some of those qualities (hey, nobody's perfect!). You will need references and £300 deposit. I have a pet cat.
