Preferred room and flatmate description
We have a huge attic room in a period 300 year old farmhouse needing a flat mate! The room itself is beautiful, with all the character you'd expect from a period house. Its fully vaulted/beamed ceiling, and has its own door, with a private landing and staircase (making it almost like three little rooms!). The dimensions are 33sqM approx, but the useable witch is more like 18sqM due to the vaulted ceilings. The landing is approx 4sqM, and the wide staircase 3sqM approx.
The room comes carpeted & fully furnished with a superking bed (complete with bed linens), black & leather desk and office chair, and a dresser. In terms of the rest of the house, we have a very large shared kitchen/dining room with a double butler sink, a double oven with 6 gas hobs, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There are two shared bathrooms, one upstairs with a shower and sink/toilet, and a larger one downstairs with a victorian bath and sink/toilet. There are two gardens, back and front, with the back being very secure – both are furnished with patio garden furniture.
Included in the rent of 135 per week are all bills, which include tv license, a free evening/weekend calls package and phoneline, and super fast unlimited download wireless internet. The house is centrally heated, also included in the rent.
There are period features throughout the house, which has in total 5 bedrooms – so you'd be sharing with four of us, two male and two female, all students ages 18-20. Whilst any flatmate/s dont have to be students, we'd appreciate you to be roughly in the same age range. Couples are more than welcome, especially seeing as the attic is such a huge room. Smoking is fine outside, and we're a pretty clean lot.
Finally, for transport the 307 bus stop is just down the road and that will take you directly to Oakwood underground station (half an hour from central, on the piccadilly line) or trent park/cat hill in approx 20 min – making the room perfect for middlesex students. Buses leave every 7-10 minutes. At the opposite end of the road is Brimsdown overground station, which is a 20min journey from London liverpool street – which gives easy access to central London. Enfield town itself has all the major highstreet stores, and there is an absolutely giant 24H tescos ten minutes walk (or 2 min bus ride) away from the house.
If you're interested please give me a ring/email, and we can arrange a time for you to come look round. The room is available from the end of November time, with the rent as mentioned at 135 per week including all bills.
