Rooms to rent in Oxford
The good news about roomshare in the historic university city of Oxford is that it has been an integral part of life for both students and townspeople for hundreds of years. The bad news is that after London, Oxford is one of the most expensive cities in the whole of the UK. This is due to the massive demand created by Oxford University, Oxford Brookes University and numerous language schools, combined with its close proximity to the capital which makes Oxford a popular base for professionals to commute to work.
Oxford is a relatively small city which makes travelling between areas quite easy; either by bus, taxi or bicycle. To the north, Brookes students look for accommodation in Headington and to the east, the Cowley and Iffley roads have long been location of choice for students and townspeople alike. Rooms in Summertown and Jericho are much sought after by working professionals and as a result are by far the most expensive areas in the city.
