Hello there! I am a 29 year old Dutch woman looking for a place in the UK; Nottingham or surrounding areas, as long as it's more or less in the Midlands. Preferably two rooms or even sharing a (family) house with someone. Could do apartment swap for some time as well. I rent a big flat (livingroom 28 m2) in The Netherlands for only about 300 GBP a month (excl.). It unfortunately seems that for that money I might only get a shoebox in the UK, so anything better than that is welcome!
I am very artistic; I write, paint, sing, do (web)design and photography. I am interested in Fantasy, Living History and love cultures and traditions. Slightly Pagan inclined, although I sing in a choir. Open-minded. I leave food out for the faeries. (Just in case the legends are true). Love gardening, love decorating. I am into lots of music and I organise the annual Nick Drake gathering in Tanworth-in-Arden. I spend copious hours on the computer. Love listening to music. I am non-smoking, but I love to burn incense. Love cooking, I am a pisco vegetarian (eat fish, no meat), don't mind if others eat meat and will still cook it. I like a social drink every now and then. Fine wines and whiskeys. And a wide range of herbal teas. Definite chocoholic. Not terribly tidy as I am too chaotic and scatter-brained for that. It's the artistic side... But once I do get into cleaning mode I am very thorough.
I am looking to stay in the UK for a minimum of 6 months to try out living abroad and if I like it I might want to stay!
Might want to bring a dog along. But he might just stay with my mum as well. It all depends on how demanding my job would be. He's small and sweet, not always too kind with kids and other dogs though due to trauma as a puppy. Doesn't like staying alone for too long, so I usually take him with me. In a buggy. (just as a matter of easy transportation and access to places where he wouldn't be able to come otherwise). He's a real character and might possibly think he's a cat.
Well there you have it, you might think I'm a complete loon, but if you like that sort of thing... *grins*
