Hi folks,
I'm James, a 26 year old guy who works in IT.
I drive (and so need parking, preferably off-street).
I've recently quit smoking and am really hoping and trying to stay that way-but if I fail, smoking outside's not a problem.
I've got a pretty wide range of interests ranging from poi (feel free to ask!) to anything IT/tech related. I'm also very into music (metaller at heart, but I listen to all sorts) and movies-with large collections of both that housemates would be free to make use of.
I'm straight and currently single-and have no problem with any other housemates possible sexuality's (I currently live with a mixture of straight, bi and gay!).
I like a night out every now and then-especially seeing live music. My favourite poisons are Guinness and JD.
My only pet's a single fish-he lives in a big jar and doesn't make any mess! I love animals (especially large dogs), but I'm afraid I'm allergic to both cats and rats.
I'm pretty handy around the house and would be happy to help with any maintenance jobs etc. (I'm not a pro builder though).
I'm looking for a furnished/part-furnished, good sized double room. I've had some bad luck with my current ground-floor room (I was burgled a few weeks ago), so would prefer not to have the same again.
Because of my interest in all things technical, a good internet connection's a must (something like Virgin media's 20mb, if possible)-I'd be more than willing to have this installed and pay for it myself/split the cost with any housemates. I've got everything needed to set this up and/or share the connection.
Ideally, I'd like to live in a nice area which isn't too far from Nottingham centre-but a really nice place could lead me further afield!
Other than that, as long as the house is 'clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy', I'm open to suggestions!
It would be great to pay rent on an inclusive basis, but it's not a deal-breaker.
I usually work between 8-6 on weekdays. It'd be great to see your place any time after that or at weekends.
