Hi, my name’s Scott (23). My girlfriend Petra (24) and I are looking for some friendly and easy-going housemates for our new house. I teach English to foreigners and Petra is working while also studying to be a primary teacher.


A SPACIOUS 3 BED SEMI-DETACHED with bathroom upstairs, loo downstairs, large kitchen, good parking, on a quiet cul-de-sac in Hampden Park, Eastbourne.


Local shops, bus stops and post boxes are all a short walk from the house. Buses are frequent, with a number of choices going into town, taking about 15 minutes.


DOWNSTAIRS IS A LARGE KITCHEN, with lots of cooking appliances, large fridge-freezer, new washing machine, Hi-fi, TV and a nice, big breakfast table.


THE LIVING ROOM’S WELL-EQUIPPED with 2 sofas, storage, PC, internet, Sky TV, Xbox, PS2 etc and some double French doors opening onto the back garden.


For the safety-conscious there is a burglar alarm with motion sensors, a carbon monoxide detector and some heat and smoke detectors in both of the hallways.


We have 1 room available: 1 SINGLE (2.7M x 3M, £325pcm),


The ROOM IS A GOOD SIZE, furnished and carpeted, with views overlooking the back garden, a single bed, some storage units, shelves, sofa bed, desk, wireless internet, with a TV and PC if you need them. You’re more than welcome to bring your own bedroom stuff too, if you have any.


THE BACK GARDEN IS MADE OF 2 PARTS and was lovingly created by the previous owner, a retired gardener. Firstly, there’s a well-decorated patio area, perfect for summer BBQs, with a large shed at the end.


THERE’S ALSO A BEAUTIFUL SIDE-GARDEN running alongside the house with blossoming plants and palm trees, accessible from the patio.


WE'RE A FRIENDLY, RELAXED YOUNG COUPLE with 1 cat. I'm English, she's Czech and we often work random hours apart, so we don't party every weekend and rarely in the house as there are better places to go!


SMOKERS ARE WELCOME although we're not big smokers; we sometimes smoke in the living room or outside when it’s nice and we do ask that you keep the house 'fresh' and don't smoke in the kitchen or hallways.


WE'D LIKE FRIENDLY, RESPECTFUL, PEOPLE OF ANY AGE OR BACKGROUND. Students and international students are also welcome. So if you're a reasonable, outgoing person and you’re looking for a laid-back new home, we think that we could be the right place for you!
